Online Thailand visa applications

Online Thailand visa applications

As of 15 June 2019, all visa applications made to the Thai Embassy in London will need to be initially applied for either online or by post rather than attending the embassy in person. This is intended to streamline the process and make everything more efficient. It should be stressed that the changes do NOT affect the Royal Thai Consulates in Cardiff, Gibraltar, Glasgow, Hull, and Liverpool in the UK, and in Dublin, Ireland will continue to receive and process visa applications in the same way.

Online Thailand visa applications -how to apply

In order to apply online, you will need to visit the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. Here you will need to set up an account or alternatively you could ask a professional visa company such as Thai Visa Express to do this on your behalf. Naturally, you will need to attach all supporting documentation with your application along with a payment that will be made in pounds sterling (£). Don’t worry, everything is very secure.  It should be noted that no refunds will be given for incomplete applications.

You have the choice of sending your passport to the Thai Embassy via recorded delivery or you can take it in person at a pre-arranged appointment.
