Thailand has all but closed its borders in an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19 since March last year under the invocation of the Emergency Decree in Thailand. However, in 2021, Thailand has gradually opened the country to foreign travelers and tourists. In July 2021, fully vaccinated travelers, both Thai and foreign nationals, are allowed to enter Thailand without quarantine if they enter through Phuket under the sandbox scheme.
What documents will I need to travel to Thailand?
1.Foreigners in the UK and Ireland wishing to travel to Thailand can check if they meet the requirements HERE.
2.A Valid visa or re-entry permit is required to enter Thailand
3.A confirmed air ticket
4.You must also have a valid certificate of entry – apply for a COE to enter ThailandCOVID-19 test result with a laboratory result indicating that COVID -19 is not detected (COVID test must be by RT-PCR method), issued within 72 hours before departure — Some airlines do not accept home kit tests so please check specific requirements with the airlines you are traveling with. From 1 April 2021, the Fit to Fly health certificate will no longer be required to go to Thailand. Other things remain the same.
5.An insurance policy that covers COVID and no less than 100,000 USD – print off the certificate and provide it at check-in.
All non-Thai passengers from the UK and Ireland will be subject to 15-night quarantine all expenses must be covered by the applicant. Even if you have had a double vaccination you must quarantine,and you must stay at one of the recognized Alternative State
