Thailand Visa Rules After COVID
This page summarises the main COVID-era Thailand travel rules and what replaced them. COVID systems such as quarantine, Certificate of Entry and Thailand Pass are no longer the normal entry process.

What happened during COVID
- Mandatory quarantine for many arrivals
- Certificate of Entry travel approval
- Thailand Pass QR code system
- Sandbox entry schemes for selected areas
- Temporary visa amnesties for stranded visitors
What replaced those systems?
- Standard visa and visa exemption rules apply for most travellers.
- COE and Thailand Pass are no longer used for normal travel.
- Arrival and immigration systems may be digital depending on current rules.
- Travellers should check passport validity, onward travel and visa requirements before departure.
