Thai Visa Express Pattaya assists American citizens living in Thailand with eligible U.S. passport renewal applications. If you are based in Pattaya, Bangkok, Rayong, Hua Hin, Phuket, Chiang Mai or elsewhere in Thailand, we can help you understand the overseas renewal process and prepare your documents correctly.
U.S. passport rules are set by the U.S. Department of State. Thai Visa Express is an independent fee-based professional service. We are not affiliated with the U.S. Government, the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Embassy.
฿10,000 All-Inclusive
Our standard adult U.S. passport renewal package is ฿10,000 all-inclusive. This fee applies to standard eligible adult U.S. passport renewals where the applicant qualifies to renew using the normal adult renewal process.
Eligible adult renewals normally use Form DS-82. Whether DS-82 is available depends on the applicant’s current passport, age at issue, passport condition, issue date, name details and other U.S. Department of State requirements.
For official information, always check the U.S. Department of State passport website.
Can I Renew My US Passport While Living in Thailand?
Yes. U.S. citizens living in Thailand can usually renew a U.S. passport through the overseas passport process if they meet the relevant requirements. Adult passport renewals from outside the United States are handled differently from renewals inside the United States.
For Thailand, eligible adult renewals generally follow the U.S. Embassy Bangkok process for passport renewal by mail, including the correct form, photo, current passport, payment confirmation and delivery requirements.
Can I Renew My US Passport Online From Thailand?
The U.S. online passport renewal system is intended for eligible applicants who are physically located in the United States or a U.S. territory when they apply. Americans living in Thailand should follow the overseas passport renewal process instead.
If you are unsure whether you qualify for DS-82 renewal from Thailand, Thai Visa Express can review your circumstances and explain the correct route before you prepare the application.
What If My Passport Has Already Expired?
An expired U.S. passport may still be renewable in some cases, especially if it meets the DS-82 requirements. However, if the passport was issued too long ago, was issued when you were under 16, is damaged, was lost or stolen, or does not meet the renewal rules, you may need a different application route.
We can help check whether your expired passport is eligible for the standard adult renewal process or whether you need to follow a different U.S. passport application procedure.
Lost or Damaged US Passports
Lost, stolen or damaged U.S. passports are not standard DS-82 renewals. If your passport has been lost, stolen, badly damaged or previously reported lost or stolen, you should follow the official U.S. Department of State and U.S. Embassy guidance for replacement passports.
Thai Visa Express can advise on the practical steps, but urgent travel, emergency passports and replacement applications remain subject to U.S. Government requirements and decisions.
US Passports for Children
U.S. passports for children are handled differently from adult renewals. Children under 16 cannot normally renew a passport using the adult DS-82 renewal process. Child passport applications may require parental consent, identity evidence, citizenship evidence and other supporting documents.
If your child needs a U.S. passport in Thailand, contact us first so we can explain what documents may be needed and whether the case falls outside a standard adult renewal package.
