Documents Required

For most people wishing to enter the UK on a UK Spouse Visa, the relevant income will be that of their sponsor – usually their husband. If this is the case, he would need to have an income of £18,600 p.a. Here is a list of the requirements:

  • Documents to prove that you are legally married
  • A letter from the sponsor’s employer
  • Bank Statements
  • Monthly Wage Slips or the previous year’s accounts if self-employed
  • Proof of homeownership or a tenancy agreement
  • Proof that the applicant has passed the A1 English(IELTS) test

In some cases, you may not have some of the documents above, which doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t start the application process. Our team of advisers will look at your cases on an individual basis and provide you with any guidance.
